Update:

Hey, guys. This blog will be taking a new direction–although it is understood that any change in non-posting would be a new direction.

That said, this blog will begin to compile research and notes that I make on books that I read. I hope to begin writing serious work again soon. One topic that has troubled me for years is the denominational system, so expect to see Ecclesiological books.

Thanks for your continued reading.

In Christ,

JP

Josh…in pursuing ecclesiology, you should read some (read: LOTS) stuff from IX Marks, the ministry of Mark Dever. Great, great stuff.

I believe (but I’m not 100% sure) that Matt Chandler has spoken at a conference for 9 Marks (at Southeastern?), and I’m working through that message. It’s about preaching the gospel and finding it in Scriptures for the church. It’s great so far. If that’s the sort of quality work they’re about, I’m all for it. Thanks for the heads up. Ecclesiology, specifically unity, is where I see future research leading me for the foreseeable future.

That’s great man! And yea…there is a whole series of “9 Marks at Southeastern” stuff with LOTS of good speakers.

Just look into the books 9 Marks puts out, specifically.
